"Naughty Girl" was originally supposed to be the first single from ''Dangerously in Love''. The single was deemed not to have potential to fail but, at the same time, not to become a big hit. The single was pushed back when "Crazy in Love" was chosen as the first single. On "Naughty Girl", over a disco-flavored beat, Beyoncé declares that she's feeling sexy and wants to hear her name spoken by her lover; she then intimates her carnal desires as she offers the suggestion, "Tonight, I'll be your naughty girl."
